Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Atlyn's website and services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Service Description

Atlyn provides free and paid custom visuals for Microsoft Power BI, downloadable .pbiviz packages, and account management features.

Atlyn Markdown Viewer, Atlyn Bullet Chart, and Atlyn Calendar Slicer are free for personal and commercial use under the MIT License. The other published visuals are paid offerings unless the applicable product page says otherwise.

Heatmap, Pareto, Network, Financial Matrix, Overlap Explorer, Marimekko, Resource Capacity, and Process Lens are eight additional visuals staged for release through the existing all-access subscription only. Naming them here does not mean they are available to download, listed on AppSource, or certified by Microsoft.

3. Account Registration and Security

If you create an Atlyn account or use paid storefront services, you must sign in with a valid Microsoft account. This website sign-in is not a runtime sign-in requirement for the eight additional visual packages. You are responsible for your account security and must notify support@atlynco.com of suspected unauthorized access.

4. Subscription and Payment Terms

This section governs paid storefront access and services, including access to downloads. The first eligible subscription per account in each Stripe billing mode (live or test) includes a 30-day free trial, not a fresh trial for every product. A payment method is required, and monthly or annual billing through Stripe begins after the trial unless cancelled before it ends.

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period.
• You may cancel from your dashboard and retain subscribed storefront access, including eligible downloads, through the current subscribed period.
• All-access remains $14.99/month or $149/year. It includes released catalog visuals and the eight additional visuals as released, with no added charge.
• Existing active or trialing all-access subscribers do not need another checkout or new license keys for the eight additional visuals.
• The eight additional visuals use a paid-author, free-shared-report-viewer model under these customer Terms. Active paid or trialing all-access subscriptions authorize authors as described in Section 5. Viewers do not need a separate Atlyn subscription merely to view a shared report. The packages do not enforce author or viewer identity at runtime.

5. Customer Use Grant and Package Rights

For the eight additional visuals named in Section 2, an active paid or trialing all-access subscription grants an author permission under these Atlyn customer Terms to acquire released packages and use them to author and share Power BI reports during the subscribed period. Shared-report viewers may view those reports without a separate Atlyn subscription. These customer Terms provide the separate end-user acquisition and use authority; a first-party package declaration or included file is not the sole source of that permission.

The first-party source for these eight visuals remains proprietary. An UNLICENSED declaration, all-rights-reserved notice, or absence of a first-party license file does not grant open-source rights. The end-user authority above comes from these customer Terms, not from an assumed MIT grant or a new package EULA. Copyright and all applicable MIT, other open-source, and third-party license rights remain unchanged. In particular, the MIT licenses for Markdown Viewer, Bullet Chart, and Calendar Slicer are not narrowed, and MIT references for older products such as Distribution or Scatter do not license the eight additional visuals.

The eight additional visuals are technically ungated once installed: they do not use license keys, runtime licensing checks, author identity enforcement, or subscription-based feature gates. Cancellation or subscription expiry does not technically deactivate them or change their features. Continued technical operation is not an unrestricted or perpetual author-use grant: author permission depends on the current authorization under these customer Terms. Older visuals retain their existing terms, package behavior, and applicable licenses.

6. Restrictions

Do not circumvent access controls for storefront accounts, checkout, or downloads. Use of the eight additional visuals must stay within the authority granted by these customer Terms and any other applicable license or law. Ungated runtime does not grant source-code rights or unrestricted use or redistribution beyond that authority. Storefront access controls do not provide runtime anti-copy enforcement or technically disable shared reports or static exports from these eight visuals.

7. Intellectual Property

Atlyn and its licensors retain their applicable intellectual property rights in software, designs, trademarks, and content, subject to the rights granted by these customer Terms and applicable licenses. A storefront subscription does not transfer ownership, make proprietary source open source, or narrow existing open-source or third-party license grants.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atlyn is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Total liability does not exceed amounts paid in the preceding 12 months.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. At the end of the subscribed period, the subscription-based author grant for the eight additional visuals ends unless further use is separately authorized under applicable customer terms. This does not remotely deactivate installed packages; their continued operation does not extend the author grant. Shared-report viewers may view reports without a separate Atlyn subscription as described in Section 5. Rights granted independently under MIT, other open-source, and third-party licenses remain unchanged; older products retain their existing terms and licenses.
